‘Peace’

We sit together in the wooden rocking chair, watching the pond shimmer under the evening sun while the cows graze quietly in the distance. After all the years, the noise of our lives has finally settled.

We have been through hard times, family disagreements, struggles, and seasons when nothing felt easy. But we’ve stayed together through it all. Over time we’ve  learned we don’t have to answer to the world anymore — only to God and to each other.

We don’t want conflict now.

We don’t want drama.

All we want is peace.

Peace in our home, peace in our hearts, and peace in our years we have left, we hope many more!

We know this life is only for a short visit, not our final home. One day we will leave this world behind….for now

“It’s you & me, babe!”

P.S. Don’t let anyone, your work, your mind….hold you back from what this world has to offer…Just SHINE ON! 🩷

The New Chapter Continues

After years of dedication and passion, I find myself stepping into an unexpected new chapter of my life. Since 2010, I’ve been proud to work with **Protect The Harvest**, a nonprofit under Lucas Oil. It was a journey filled with purpose, advocacy, and camaraderie. However, as some of you may know, the organization dissolved on October 31, 2024, due to funding challenges. This was a bittersweet moment for me, as I anticipated this change but still felt the loss deeply.

But instead of dwelling on what was, I’m refocusing my energy on what’s next. I’ve always had a desire to be in front of the public, sharing my passion and creativity. So, I’m excited to announce that I’ve taken on a part-time role as a **brand ambassador**! It’s a bit of a shift to become “invisible” behind the brand, but I’m eager to embrace this new perspective and learn from the experience.

In this time of transition, I’m filling my days with the things I love most: my art and my family. I've rediscovered the joy of creating and the warmth that comes from spending quality time with loved ones.

So here’s to new beginnings, it’s been over a year now so I’m  embracing the change, and continuing to grow. I’m looking forward to sharing more of this journey with you all and seeing where it leads!

My Next Chapter…

I did not anticipate my last chapter ending as it did, but it has nonetheless. Consequently, I have now embarked on my current chapter earlier than initially planned. This chapter had been pending on my to-do list for several years and gained urgency during my visit to Cheyenne, WY, where I met representatives of Pendleton Whiskey. This encounter sparked my desire to pursue a similar career path. With Protect The Harvest ceasing operations on October 31, 2024, I successfully transitioned into my ideal role. It is essential to persevere and never abandon one's aspirations. Additional updates will follow shortly!

What is in YOUR Priority Day?

Hi all,

After 13 days of being in Nebraska...I was ready to be home!

Good things happening, neighbor started on the new roof (yay) yesterday  and Angela Garrison is coming tomorrow to start the make-over of my walls in the Living Room!
The house was built in 1978 so it is time for the walls, which are paneling, to be undated...

Gary and Austin brush-hogged the fields this last week, which they look amazing!

Time gets away from all of us, proof is, it's already September. This year has flown by without any of us catching our breath, the much needed stand-still time is not in the vocabulary anymore. Taking the time to have that cup of coffee on the front porch, firepit time, cruise the square, having a bike ride, meeting our family for a get-together, watching a movie without going to sleep, just having a NO PHONE day...all these things need to be the priority! LOL..let's see if we can get some of these in before next week!

Stay tuned!

Loving what I do!

Hello folks!

I have not published anything for a while!

My current life chapter is my passion!

I am currently activating an event for Protect The Harvest at the Nebraska State Fair, educating the crowd on what PTH does...I am proud to educate on animal welfare, keeping the consumers informed of the threats to our American Agriculture. You see, Protect The Harvest is a non-profit organization protecting farmers, ranchers, animal owners, circuses, zoos, PBR, rodeos, animal production groups rights out of the hands of NGO groups...SO, if you want to keep owning animals, eating meat, drinking real milk, BACON, BACON...learn more of the mission of Protect The Harvest!

I am an animal lover, have 4 dogs!

Please follow me as I love God, love my family, and love what I do!

Our own Legacy!

As you all know, my involvement in drag racing is not only business but pleasure (heavy on the pleasure side)!

The NHRA Pomona Finals were this past weekend and with realizing then not only the NHRA drivers have their legacy but so do we....Listening to Jack Beckman, the 2012 Funny Car Champion, made me think we are all creating our legacy for our family in so many ways! If it's ending one chapter of our lives or opening a NEW chapter, we want our children to remember us as their mentor or the one parent, grandparent who was cool! Like "the Snake" or the bald qeeky guy or the driver that was always on fire! LOL (guess that one? LOL)

As a mentor, we hope that we can leave something behind for all to remember what we were best at, loved to do, give a few words of wisdom to change others lives or memories that will never leave! We really shouldn't care as we will be dead! So why should we really care? Do we want to be remembered as a whiner, or the one that was positive and caring? You, tell me!

On the ending note, never take anything for granted....It's not only your moment but the legacy that could make a difference in someone else's life! Make your life the best "Legacy" for you first!

Be back soon! I promise.....:)
